Nishaan Chavda

Co-Owner & General Manager

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Nishaan Chavda’s professional career started in high school as he worked his way through food and beverage positions at luxury hotels off the Orange County coast including Surf & Sand Resort and St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. While working at St. Regis’s signature restaurant, Stonehill Tavern, Nishaan met acclaimed Chef Michael Mina who became one of his largest mentors in the industry. After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona University, Nishaan moved to New York City to be on the service team at the 3-Michelin starred restaurant Per Se under Chef Thomas Keller. While working through the ranks at Per Se, Nishaan was offered the position of Service Captain at Chef Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry, making him one of the youngest ever to be tapped for the leadership role. During his time at The French Laundry, Chef Michael Mina sought out Nishaan for an opportunity to work on his corporate team as an Operations Manager focused on training and development. In 2018, Nishaan opened the famed Bourbon Steak Nashville as the General Manager which currently holds the reputation of Mina Group’s most financially successful restaurant. In 2021, Nishaan was promoted to Director of Operations of all company owned assets in the Mina Group which include 5 properties, with an additional 3 in current development. In total, Nishaan has opened 7 restaurants throughout the US and Dubai and has task forced in over 20 different operations.
